Victor Crowley! “

IGNITOR veröffentlichten am 24. November 2017 ihr sechstes Album „Haunted By Rock & Roll“ über EMP Label Group / ArieScope Records. „Hatchet (Die Ballade von Victor Crowley)“ ist das dritte Musikvideo der Band, das auf dem neuen Album „Haunted By Rock & Roll“ nach „No Sanctuary“ und „To Brave The War“ aufgenommen wurde.

Haunted By Rock & Roll introduces heavy metal fans to arguably IGNITOR’s strongest lineup to date and their definitive metallic statement. Featuring eight new original anthems of leather clad glory including „Hatchet (The Ballad of Victor Crowley)“ and a cover of „Hung, Drawn and Quartered“ by NWOBHM legends (and EMP labelmates) RAVEN.

EMP label owner/founder Dave Ellefson (MEGADETH) who serves as Executive Producer on Haunted By Rock & Roll has been instrumental in attaining a larger audience for IGNITOR and the sky is now the limit for the band that debuted with a record entitled „Take To The Sky.“

„Primitive, primal, down to earth and anthem-oriented for the studs and leather-clad hordes, Ignitor fuse the best of American, British, and German heavy metal from the first half of the 1980’s and spit out songs that shine.“ [8.5/10]
– Dead Rhetoric

„There isn’t a lackluster song to be had here, which makes it an absolute must for all fans of true heavy metal might. If you want to keep it true, you can’t go wrong with this one. You just can’t.“ [9/10]
– The Grim Tower

„If you grew up during the early 80s when records by Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and Kiss would sit comfortably alongside those of Iron Maiden, Accept and Anthrax, then „Haunted By Rock & Roll“ will indeed have you in headbanger heaven.“
– Battle Helm

„Pure genuine Heavy / Power Metal“ [4/5]
– Metalunderground.at

„Haunted by Rock & roll offers us nine tracks of pure Heavy Metal, strongly influenced by the NWOBHM.“ [8/10]
– Soil Chronicles

„Haunted by Rock’n Roll is a great piece of old-school speed metal.“
– Rock Castle Franken

„Reminds us that Heavy Metal is supposed to be high energy, fun music and these guys do it well in the modern day.“
– Glistening Metal

„Not one track would I label as filler. If you like your metal straight up without any bells and whistles, then this is the album for you.“
– Wormwood Chronicles

„Executive producer and label owner/founder Dave Ellefson (Megadeth) does have an ear for good taste. “
– Ave Noctum

BIO

Formed in 2003 by founding Agony Column guitarist Stuart „Batlord“ Laurence and drummer Pat Doyle formerly of punk legends The Offenders; IGNITOR set out to create the kind of true heavy metal their contemporaries in the Austin, Texas metal scene were lacking. Unabashedly loud and forceful yet retaining all of the sonic spirit and hallmarks of the golden years of heavy metal.

Enduring lineup changes along the way found IGNITOR replacing original vocalist Erica Swinnich with the iconic pipes of Jason McMaster (Watchtower, Dangerous Toys, Broken Teeth, Evil United) a much revered elder statesman in Texas metal circles, who was introduced on the „Spider Queen“ album in 2007.

In early 2015 IGNITOR would recruit guitarist Robert Williams (Witches Mark) and bassist Billy Dansfiell (Agony Column) beginning a near three year campaign of introducing metal fans to the newly reinvigorated lineup with some scorching live performances in support of such metal titans as Grim Reaper, Helstar, Jag Panzer, Raven and Cage and familiarizing audiences with the songs that would ultimately become the Haunted By Rock & Roll album.
