Transcending Records has unleashed a vinyl reissue of Depths of Decay, the debut full-length from tech-death outfit ROTTING OBSCENE.
Depths Of Decay features more than 50 minutes of unrelenting brutal death metal. Initially released on CD in the summer of 2016, Transcending Records released the album on Black and ‚Ox Blood‘ Red vinyl on Dec 8, 2017. The album is currently available as a free digital download.
The Black Dahia Murder’s Trevor Strnad had this to say about the album: „I love this… near perfect technical and brutal death metal from VA with that early 2000s Unique Leader swagger (think Severed Savior, Odious Mortem). These guys have some serious chops and no boring one-dimensional slams in sight. They also have ties to Human Infection, who I feel they have a bit in common with, sound wise. Highly recommended!“
Virginia’s ROTTING OBSCENE stormed onto the death metal scene in 2011 with an impressive 4 song demo. They have returned in 2016 with their debut full-length album Depths Of Decay. The band features members of Darkness Remains and Human Infection. They’ve shared the stage with Ulcerate, Cannabis Corpse and many others. Their brand of highly skilled technical death metal is sure to please fans of Abhorrent and Suffocation.
